Leading insurtech business in India, InsuranceDekho, has achieved a noteworthy milestone with the $60 million it has raised in its current Series B fundraising round. The company has drawn new high-profile investors to its capital table and reinforced the trust of current investors with its most recent capital infusion, which is a combination of debt and equity.
The Gurugram-based business has raised a total of $200 million in funding through this, its second fundraising round of 2023, further solidifying its standing as the top Indian insurtech. The insurer BNP Paribas Cardif, the Japanese behemoth Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, the Beams Fintech Fund, which focuses on India, and Yogesh Mahansaria Family Office have all joined as new investors through their insurtech fund, which is overseen by European investing powerhouse Eurazeo. Avataar Ventures, TVS Capital, and Goldman Sachs Asset Management, three of InsuranceDekho's current investors, increased their investment in the business. The biggest Series A capital round raised by an Insurtech in South Asia, totaling $150 million, was obtained by InsuranceDekho in February.
