Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao while addressing the regional conference of Farmers’ Coordination Committees in Karimnagar had announced a health and life insurance scheme worth Rs 5 lakh for the farmers in the state.

The scheme which is expected to be implemented soon will have –

70 lakh farmers in the state to benefit from this scheme.
An allocation of Rs 500 crore has been announced by the state government in the coming budget for implementation of the scheme.
In case of hospitalisation, the health insurance coverage will be made available.
The government will bear the entire premium of the health and life insurance scheme of farmers.
Each and every farmer in the village should be ensured by the Farmers’ Coordination Committees to get the benefits of the scheme.
In case of the farmer’s accidental or natural death, the families of farmers will be paid the amount of insurance.
