A regional branch manager of National Insurance Company Limited has been booked for allegedly demanding bribe for passing a car insurance claim.
When the accused didn’t get the bribe, he rejected the claim. A case against him has been registered under Jyoti Nagar police station.
The accused has been identified as Ravi Sharma, regional branch manager. The police said that Mukesh Kumar, a resident of Surya Nagar at Taron Ki Koont on Tonk Road complained that his car was stolen on February 9, 2012, and he had filed a complaint in this connection.
The branch manager of the insurance firm recommended for granting the claim of Rs 6,85,000 but regional manager Ravi Sharma allegedly demanded 10% of the claim amount for endorsing the insurance claim. When Mukesh refused to pay the 10% amount, the regional manager dismissed the insurance claim.
