Private insurer Religare Health Insurance recently said it is focusing on specialised products and is developing about eight such products, two of which are expected to be launched soon.

“We are developing eight products at the moment. Of which two are with the regulator for approval. We are hoping to launch them in the next few weeks,” Religare Health Managing Director and Chief Executive Anuj Gulati told reporters here.
The company, part of Religare Enterprises, is working on products related to diabetes, critical illness, overseas health plans for students, among others, he added.
The recently launched firm has 134 centres servicing around 34,000 customers.
Talking about capital adequacy, Gulati said Religare Health and its partners have infused Rs 175 crore, which is more than adequate as of now.
Going ahead when the customer base increases the company, a joint venture between Religare Enterprises, Union Bank of India and Corporation Bank, may infuse more fund, Gulati added.
The health insurer, which has tied up with 1,800 hospitals, will focus on corporate, retail and rural segments, he said.
