The State government in Haryana has decided to implement a health insurance scheme to provide free healthcare services to the poor. The cost of premium shall be borne by the government.
Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said efforts were being made to ensure that every person had access to healthcare services in the state.
He added that medical colleges were being set up in all districts to meet the shortage of doctors in government hospitals. As many as 28 colleges would be set up in the state over the next two years which would help to meet the requirement of 17,000 doctors, he said.
