5th List of Eligible Trainee Surveyors

1. Fifth list of eligible trainees for Insurance Institute of India (III) Surveyor PreLicensing Examinations March 2026 is attached herewith.
2. Further to the Surveyor Enrollment Notice dated 29th February 2024, First list dated 5th January 2026, Second list dated 9th January 2026, Third list dated 13th January 2026 and Fourth list dated 16.01.2026, it may be noted that enrollment applications submitted up to 15th December, 2025 shall be processed “for the March 2026 examinations”.
3. Those applicants who have applied multiple enrollments for different departments have been made eligible with only 1 approved enrollment number.
4. For any discrepancy in the list – applicants who are eligible for surveyor examination scheduled in March 2026 are advised to email to kiransharma@irdai.gov.in and surveyor@irdai.gov.in before 2 PM on 22 nd January, 2026 with the subject heading “Discrepancy in list of eligible applicants for online Surveyor Exam March 2026”.
5. Those applicants whose details were already appearing in previous lists may directly approach Insurance Institute of India (III) with previous issued date of published list by IRDAI.
6. All eligible applicants are advised to obtain student membership from Indian Institute of Insurance Surveyors & Loss Assessors (IIISLA) before appearing for surveyor exam.
7. In case of non-receipt of Trainee Enrollment Approval mail from IRDAI, all eligible applicants are advised to take screen shot of status of their Trainee Enrollment application under their login in IRDAI BAP Portal [showing status as “Approved / Partially Approved”, Enrollment No. & Date of Approval (Enrollment)]; as proof while applying for IIISLA membership and registering for III Surveyor exams. You may also create as incident with the subject “Non-receipt of Trainee Enrollment Approval mail”, by giving reference of the Trainee Enrollment Application URN No., after login to the BAP portal. [Please follow the procedure for creating an incident as stated in the “User Manual” available under the “Support Helpdesk” Tab on the Home Page of the IRDAI BAP Portal (https://www.irdabap.org.in/irj/portal/anonymous)].
8. The eligible applicants are advised to register for March, 2026 online surveyor examination on the website www.insuranceinstituteofindia.com.
9. The eligible applicants are advised to register and appear for the examination only for the respective Departments for which they are enrolled with IRDAI as Trainee Surveyors.
10. While registering for III Surveyor pre-licensing exams, the applicants are required to enter the Enrollment No. in the form of “10000XXXXX” (10-digit no. only) and Enrollment Date in the form of “DD-MM-YYYY”.

Implementation of TRAI Direction on mandatory adoption of 1600-series to curb the menace of Unsolicited Commercial Communication (UCC)

1. In order to curb Unsolicited Commercial Communication (UCC), prevent impersonation based frauds and enhance consumer trust, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has issued a Direction dated 16th December 2025 (copy enclosed) under section 13, read with sub-clauses (i) and (v) of clause (b) of sub-section (1) of section 11 of the TRAI Act, 1997, mandating adoption of the 1600-series for all service and transactional voice calls made by entities regulated by IRDAI to the consumers.
2. In this regard, all Insurers and Insurance Intermediaries are advised to ensure that:
i. Adoption of the 1600-series for all service and transactional voice calls is completed on or before 15th February, 2026.
ii. No service or transactional voice calls are initiated from any number other than those allocated under the 1600-series after the aforesaid date, irrespective of explicit or inferred customer consent.
iii. Any complaint of UCC against entities not complying with the above shall attract action as per regulatory provisions of TRAI applicable to unregistered telemarketers, in addition to any action as may be considered appropriate by the Authority.
iv. Status Reports as specified by TRAI in its directions are furnished on timely basis with a copy to the Authority.
3. Insurers and Insurance Intermediaries may coordinate with their respective Telecom Service Providers (TSPs) for timely allocation, activation and operationalization of the 1600-series numbers. For this purpose, the contact details of the Nodal Officers of the Access Providers are enclosed as Annexure – I.
All Insurers and Insurance Intermediaries are advised to take note of the above and ensure strict compliance.
