IRDAI recently abolished age restrictions on health insurance policies marks a pivotal step towards inclusive and comprehensive healthcare coverage. Currently there is huge variation in cost structure as the claim amount increases manifold when the hospital learns that, patient is covered by any form of insurance. As in some international markets, health insurance cover is divided into few segments like platinum, gold, silver depending upon category of sum insured. Similar category may though for Indian market also.
