“There is no force more powerful than a woman determined to rise”

In honour of Women Power in Public Sector General Insurance Companies in India, CIDizen Trust has released a special edition calendar for the year 2019.  The move of the Trust to honour the Lady CMDs and Lady General Managers of GIPSA companies has brought a positive vibe amongst the women employees of the Industry.

CIDizen Trust is run by  CBSE Insurance Vocational group Students (who were inducted into the General Insurance Industry as employees between 1992 and 1997).  CID represents  ‘CBSE Insurance Diaspora’ and the word ‘Zen’ means ‘to connect’.  The Trust was formed to bring socially conscious CIDizens together to serve the members and the Society in large. 

During the short span of 2 years, the Trust has engaged itself in many noble activities such as raising funds to provide timely aid to the victims of natural crises like Kerala floods.  The Trust also provides periodical service, both in financial and physical form to old age homes and to the destitute children.

The Trust also has entered into long term initiatives like providing aid to cancer research Institutes and downtrodden cancer patients in a regular and structured manner.  The “CIDIZEN Care Centre for Cancer” was launched on July 28th 2018, by Smt.T.L.Alamelu, CMD, Agriculture Insurance Company at a Global Insurance Summit organised by the Trust at Chennai.  The Summit was graced by top officials of various General Insurance Companies like Shri. John Pulinthanam, Director & GM, National Insurance Company Ltd., Smt.M.Sashikala, Director & GM, GIC RE, Shri.K.B.Vijay Srinivas, the then Director & GM, United India Insurance Company Ltd., Smt.J. Jayanthi, GM, The New India Assurance Co. Ltd., Shri. M. Easwara Narayanan, CEO, Future Generali India Insurance Company Ltd., Smt. Geetha Santhaseelan, DGM, Oriental Insurance Co. Ltd. and Shri.R. Ramamurthy, DGM, Oriental Insurance Co. Ltd.Business sessions were mentored by Hon’ble Ombudsman, Chennai & Puducherry, Shri.M. Vasanthkrishna and Former GIC GM & founder CEO of IIB, Shri.R.Raghavan.  Issues affecting General Insurance Industry were discussed in the meeting.  The next Summit is scheduled to be held on July, 27th 2019 at New Delhi.  

While talking to Insurance Times, Smt.Rajalakshmi, the representative of CIDizen Trust said that the Trust is very much honoured to bring out the calendar of the year with the said theme and it is grateful for getting  an opportunity to respect these Honest and Sincere Women Executives, who, definitely, are role models for other women employees of the Industry.
