Policy Coverage

Reliance Travel Care Plan covers you for:

Medical Expenses

• The plan will pay for in-patient and out-patient hospitalization. It also provides a daily allowance if hospitalization exceeds 2 days.
• It also covers dental expenses for acute anesthetic dental treatment caused by the injury.
• We compensate you for emergency evacuation to India and cover the cost of repatriation of mortal remains.

Personal Accident

• In case of an accident, we will provide compensation for death or permanent disability.

Accidental Death and Dismemberment-Common Carrier

• The policy also provides compensation for death or permanent disability due to an accident on any flight, ship or another common carrier.

Personal Possession Contingencies

• We not only take care of your health needs but also your possessions.
• This policy provides coverage against loss of passport by reimbursing the cost of obtaining a fresh or duplicate passport.
• In the case of the total loss of baggage by the common carrier, we provide compensation for the same.

Value-added Cover

• This policy also covers two-way travel cost to ensure that you are by the side of your loved ones in times of an emergency
• For students abroad, we provide cover for a Bail Bond that pays the bail amount on behalf of the student, to the appropriate court/authority in case of a bailable offense
• The policy will reimburse the current course semester fee if education abroad is interrupted on account of a medical condition.
• It also will cover the reimbursement of tuition fees, in case of injury resulting in the death of the insured’s sponsor who pays the tuition fees to the institution abroad on behalf of the insured.

Exclusions

• At Reliance General Insurance, we would like things to be as transparent as possible. To ensure that you do not face any misunderstandings when you make a claim, we would like you to know some of the major exclusions under the Policy. The claim will not be valid if the insured is:
• Traveling against the advice of a physician
• Receiving or are on a waiting list for specified medical treatment
• Traveling to avail treatment
• Has received a terminal prognosis for a medical condition

Eligibility

Those eligible for this plan are:

Persons pursuing academic courses abroad with a minimum age of 16 years and a maximum age of 35 years.
