The Insta Home Insurance Plan offers a choice of 4 sub-plan options, all of which have a fixed Sum Insured and fixed price. There is no option to chose coverages under various section below as these are standard pre underwritten Plans.

 

General Exclusions

The policy does not cover loss or damage due to:
1. War, invasion, act of foreign enemy,
2. Ionizing radiations or contamination by radioactivity
3. Any consequential loss or damage, of any kind or description
4. Depreciation or wear and tear
5. Wilful act of the Insured, his/her family, domestic Staff

 

How to Claim
Quick and Transparent Claims with L&T Insurance: All claims can be intimated to our 16X7 call centre. Surveyors if required would be deputed within 24 hrs for the inspection and assessment of the loss. In case of Burglary, Police authorities’ needs to be intimated immediately upon occurrence of Loss. Only documents pertinent to the nature of the claim would be called for submission. On receipt of all documents / Investigation report (if required), the company would communicate the decision on the claim within a period of 30 days.

 

How to Cancel Your Policy: One may opt to cancel the policy by giving written notice to the policy issuing office or corporate office. The policy will be cancelled from the date of receiving such notice and premium will be refunded for the unexpired period on short period basis. A premium refund will only be allowed if there is no claim reported under the Policy.

 

How to Cancel Policy during Free-Look Period: On receiving the policy document, one may review the terms and conditions of the policy. The policyholder will have the option to immediately cancel the policy in case of there being objection to any terms and condition, but not later than 15 days from the receipt of policy document. A premium refund will only be allowed if there is no claim reported under the Policy.
