Admiral Insurance reported a 71% increase in fraudulent claims in 2025 compared to the previous year, with AI tools increasingly being used to fabricate or exaggerate evidence submitted during insurance claims.

Fraud investigators identified multiple cases involving AI-generated luxury watches, manipulated vehicle damage images, and altered number plates designed to support false or duplicate claims. In several instances, entirely fabricated documents and images were submitted as proof of loss or damage.
