The Insurance Brokers Association of India (IBAI) has appointed Mr. Nirmal Bazaz as its new Honorary Secretary. He was elected director in 2023 and continues to serve in that role alongside his new responsibility.

Mr. Bazaz has more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. Throughout his career, he has worked actively to spread awareness about risk management and insurance practices. He regularly organizes seminars and workshops through respected platforms such as the Indian Chamber of Commerce and various business associations.
He also shares his knowledge as visiting faculty at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), especially during orientation programs for Chartered Accountants.

An Honours Commerce Graduate from St. Xavier’s College, Ranchi, Mr. Bazaz completed his Chartered Accountancy in 1991. In 2005, he founded Extra Cover Insurance Brokers, which has grown into a respected name in the insurance broking industry.
